Locations

  • Moab, UT
  • Salt Lake City, UT
  • Park City, UT

Drove from Moab to Salt Lake City to escape the extreme heat, only to find more heat, just a little less extreme. Then I drove to Park City to find the most beautifully perfect mountain weather. Just perfect.

Coffee Shops

Good vibes.

  • Publik #1
    • The one with the best vibes
  • Publik #2
    • The one where I finally got my email set up
  • The People’s Coffee
    • The quick one on the Connect Pass Day
  • The Bean Yard
    • The one with the conversation with the barista

Van Stuff

Cooked my first pizza in the van. I learned to season and oil my veggies for the second pizza. Both were legendary.

Made my first roasted veggie buddha-ish bowl thing. It was bangin’ and I had leftovers.

Ordered and installed a Smart Battery Sense. Fingers crossed this fixes the voltage drop/battery charging issues.

Laundry. Nice.

Being way more active

At this point I think the squirrels at Liberty Park know me. I think went to Liberty Park almost every day. I’ve gotten back into running and feeling pretty good. Oh and I walked a bajillion miles this week. It felt so good to just chill on Sunday. I was exhausted.

Also, it was really meaningful to be back literally at the same place I was about 4 months ago, the trip that pushed me to get my van.

5.45 miles ran

11.64 miles walked

Here’s one of my runs

And here’s my walk from March 2022

Exploration of Salt Lake City

Ice Cream

I’m addicted, I can’t help it.

  • Spilled Milk Ice Cream and Cereal Bar (left)
  • normal® ice cream (middle)
  • Java Cow Coffee & Ice Cream (right; in Park City)

The Connect Pass Day

The day that just got better and better as it went on. What a whirlwind.

Museums

The Utah Museum of Fine Arts and Natural History Museum of Utah

Incredible views from the Natural History Museum!

Clarks Planetarium

The place with all the space games and the movie.

I splurged on snacks for the movie. I had to have the FULL movie experience. Worth it.

The planetarium was SO cool. 10/10 would come back.

Snowbird Tram

Only 150 days until winter, but who’s counting. Can’t wait to ski this 🙂

Farmer’s Markets and Pioneer Day

Still not even sure what Pioneer Day is. Something about the first people who settled here. It’s like a big thing here.

Pioneer Park Farmer’s Market

Pioneer Day Parade

Liberty Park Light Show

Park Silly Sunday Market

Onto the next

Phew! What a week. I’m excited for some nature 🙂
