Snaps From The Week

Game Night

A friend pulled me out last Sunday to play this game, Blood on the Clocktower. It’s similar to “werewolf” or “secret hitler” where you have good people and secret bad people and you have to figure out who are the bad people.

It was VERY confusing and overwhelming the first two games. So many roles, but not just that… trying to figure out what the strategy should be, what to tell people, what not to tell people, and what the heck is going on.

But the last/third game, I ended up being a Minion (evil team) and that gave me something to do, as well as kinda thrust me into the deep end. I ended up causing some chaos that confused people for a round or two. The demon ended up winning! So we won. That was fun. It also took 2.5 hrs lol

Sick

While playing the game, I had a very slight dry throat and very mild headache. Enough to just be a negligible blip for something like dehydration. So I drank a bunch throughout.

I ended that night with a splitting headache and went to bed hot.

Tossed and turned all night. Bad headache and soreness, woke up with a bit of a fever. Played my “I’m a business owner” card and just took the day to recover. Napped twice for 2 hours each. Had pho for lunch (I almost exclusive eat pho when I’m sick. Went to bed early.

My week mostly felt like what my recovery showed:

Tues was a little better mostly just headache, Wed was a bit better than that no headache/fever, by Thurs it was mainly just a cough and no headache, Friday the cough had come down, brain just had a little fog.

By Saturday is was almost back to normal, just slightly off, and a very occasional cough.

By now I’m pretty much back to normal I’d say. So very thankful I got over this quickly, whatever it was. I’m sure it could’ve been much worse. Grateful for sleep! And grateful it was mild!

Biz

Onboarded a new client this past week, had a fun 3hr intensive. Ran a quick visualization towards the end, we were running out of time, kinda made it up as I went, and it actually ended up giving her an actual felt shift feeling more relaxed. I was like oh! oh wow! Good because I kinda just made that up and there’s soooo much more I can do.

Aside from that mostly just focusing on “surviving” with content, got a couple reels out. Had another creative brainstorm/flow session putting this week’s b-roll reel together. I had some fun with that.

And had my first case study call with my first client! Asked him a bunch of questions, went super well! I was appreciative for him being super open to helping out.

Thoughts From The Week

202609241726 Story - Started scrolling again

```
I've been sick the last 5 days and something interesting happened...
(First off: I feel way better now, I'm on the tail end, almost there!)
Mon/Tues were the worst, Wed okay, Thurs better
I've been in bed for 9-11 hrs a night
I've napped for 2-4 hrs a day
And I've started scrolling Instagram Reels again.
Which, kinda shocked me, because it's been a while.
I'll take a break, upload a Reel, and then start scrolling.
Normally I'd watch maybe 2-3 max then catch myself and get back to work.
But this time I just keep going.
And it's the same with the evening, after dinner, before bed, tired wanting to wind down.
And the weirdest part?
I just kinda feel empty doing it, the videos aren't that good. Okay some are good lol but most aren't tbh.
I wasn't expecting to "slip" so much.
But at the end of the day I know it's temporary.
But it made me think...
```

How many other people are living their normal lives at a reduced capacity and then just wondering why they struggle to focus?

One of the 4 Cs of Follow-Through is "Capacity"

A capacity constraint is when your system is overloaded, you're exhausted, overstimulated, drained. It's mostly biological.

I've helped clients through this.

But had never experienced it to this extent.

And now I understand how much it affects you.

Fix your sleep, energy, and THEN see if you still struggle to focus

You might be surprised
