Metrics From The Week

Sleep consistency is getting dialed in (92% 30-day average). And I’ve been doing much more intentional Zone 1-3 training – incline treadmill walk and zone 2 runs. Feeling good.
Breck Pow Day
Skied Breck last Sunday (before I wrote my post). 9″! Got second chair. Had some BEAUTIFUL soft and fluffy turns.
Toes ended up getting numb and cold, but took some breaks and had a lot of fun skiing.

Then decided to start making my way back down to Denver. I stopped at this trailhead parking lot to camp that I’ve used before.
But it snowed about 18″ over the last 24-48 hours, so it was a lot deeper than I last went.
There were lots of other tracks from other cars so I decided to go for it.
But when I was backing up to park, I got stuck, my tires started spinning a bit.
I tried rocking back and forth a bit. After no luck, I got out to see what was going on.
Sure enough there was a little divot my back tires were in.
But this time (thinking back to when I got my 4Runner stuck in the snow in Crested Butte in early 2022, not documented), I immediately got my traction boards out and set them down.
Then touched the gas every so slightly and just prayed.
Thankfully my tires caught and I got out.
That’s when I took this photo.

I stayed on the packed snow and tried to find some place to park, but it just wasn’t feeling right.
So I ended up deciding to leave and make my way out instead of camping over night.
The way out was a lot more sketchy, now knowing how deep it was and how easily I could’ve gotten stuck (again).
I stayed in the tracks, gripping the wheel, carefully turning every so slightly each time I started to pack down the deeper snow or slide around.
Thankfully I made it out. It could’ve been wayyyy worse.
Yeah not gonna camp there again 😅
Business
YouTube
Published my first video in ~7 months!

As I was editing it I was like hmmm, this feels a lot more “me me me” than something valuable someone could take away, but I was like ah screw it I just need to post SOMETHING.
The next videos will be more viewer-centric.
This video is just the activation for getting back into posting again. Just practicing what I preach 🙂
Still absolutely ripping out reels and view lately. I’m just farming it while it’s good.
We also crossed the 1,000 follower mark this week! Big milestone! NOW peoPLE wILL FiNALly rEsPEcT Me BeCAuSE I HavE SocIAL STatUS (lol)

I keep seeing reels pop off, new followers, getting into DM conversations with people, hearing people resonate, hearing people say they don’t hear anyone else talking about this stuff… I see all this and continue to feel that pull into purpose… There’s something special here.
And I’m not gonna claim it’s because of this, but I just feel good about my videos. My energy, my presence, I feel pretty much completely in flow when I’m recording.
I’m just seeing all of this align and I’m like finally haha
Snaps From The Week

I drove back down to Denver. Just couldn’t really get excited about camping up in the mountains, cold, driving around a lot more, not going to the gym as much… when there’s literally ZERO snow forecasted for the next 2 weeks 😭

It’s not just Colorado. It’s the same in Utah and California as well. The whole west is getting quite a slow start to the winter.
I’m kind of in this phase of just chasing powder. Lock in, work, content, and then ski pow days. But… there are no pow days. So here we are 🤷♂️
New Propane Tank
My propane tank was getting quite rusty and flaking a lot. I had the propane tech give his thoughts when he was filling it up a couple weeks ago and he went “yep you’re getting to the end of its life there.”
After some back and forth, getting a quote on a new tank (6-8 week lead time!), they ended up saying they found a used tank, same model, and cleaned it up and tested it for me.
Saved me about $1,000 right there 😅

But in other news… my propane heater that blows hot air into the inside of the van has been struggling ever since I got the new tank.
It’ll run, then randomly the flame light will go out, it’ll try to reignite, success for a couple seconds, then it’ll go out again, then throw an error code.
I’m still actively debugging what exactly is going on and trying to fix it.
But the last two nights I haven’t had my propane heater running, so it’s been a bit chilly 😅 (54ºF on night, 46ºF the other; that’s uh, inside the van…). I’ve been bundling up 😅
Maybe it’s a good sign that there’s not much snow or cold down here yet lol
LIVE IN A VAN THEY SAID. IT’LL BE FUN THEY SAID. 🥶 😂
Thoughts From The Week

Well well well... We made it back down to Denver after the double pow day storm this weekend. I skied Vail on Saturday and Breck on Sunday. Both were fantastic. Knees weren't too bad. A bit of toe numbness/freezing to manage and quads getting absolutely cooked, but I paced myself well. So many soft turns.
I'm back down in Denver because there aren't any new big storms coming in the next 2 weeks to get excited about. And camping up in the Frisco area is tough, gotta drive more.... Or get stuck in the trailhead parking lots like last night at [location]... sheesh, I'm glad that didn't end up any worse.
But I'm also feeling a bit behind right now. My habits ([[202511131036 ✅ Habit Tracker]]) are slipping... Friday was the podcast, errands, and driving up to the mountains. Saturday was skiing Vail. Sunday was skiing Breck, family zoom chat, and Life Update. I haven't been reading or doing my deliberate learning. I _have_ been posting my drafted reels to trial reels and sending out the ones that do well to everyone. Fortunately I had a bunch cooked up.
But yeah, I was just too exhausted the past two days to open up the laptop and work.
And so putting my coach hat on, this is an opportunity for me to look at my actions and go, okay something's not working, what happened, what's slipping, what's still important, and what can we change. Back to that intentionality chapter

I think a big thing was just skiing, and coming back exhausted. That's another reason why I came back down to Denver, to give myself the opportunity to lock back in and get back on the horse.
I wouldn't say the Friday-Sunday ski trip _wasn't_ worth it. In fact, maybe that time off was exactly the mental reset I needed to come back fresh and feel actually _motivated_ to work again. And that is the feeling I'm feeling right now, that _push_ to work.
Let's run through the habits I've been doing.

[...]
Okay just cut 3 things from the habit tracker table. I think just getting back into the routine will fix a lot of this.

202512122213 People are noticing how natural I sound on camera
#feedback
Chatting with [name] tonight, he said he was talking to [name] and they were talking about me.
[name] was saying how natural I speak and that he's trying to learn from me.
Nice :)
I told him that I think it's a learnable skill, and the 268 DailyVs I made.
Friction
Biggest point of resistance and friction right now is riding this edge of trying to be “productive” during meals, or limit downside “unproductive” time. I’m used to just watching YouTube, which usually ends up leading to some scrolling and just chilling.
I’m trying to cut that and replace it with more productive things, which I’ve talked about a little. Well the watching YouTube has been creeping back in.
So I’m experimenting with other ways to get rid of this association and try other things.
Learnings and Reminders
From my weekly review note:
202512070000 December 50 Weekly Note
...
Learnings and reminders from last week:
- The call with [name] felt good
- Bro your Reels are popping off. The saves, the followers, the DM conversations. People need invitations to come deeper into my world and mind. They need you.
- You are enabling these people like [name] and [name] to continue to waste their potential by not serving them, people like [name] to not reach his dreams by not inviting him.
- Morning laptop time needs to be max priority. Add 💰 to activities that directly generate cash and only do those.
- Focus on mid-morning to early afternoon focus time. I'm leaking time here around lunch.
- Reading and learning during meals is still slacking. Need to actually experiment and try different angles to release this.
- The audio podcasts while driving have been working well. Keep.
- You are STILL accumulating evidence that just hitting record and rambling GIVES you energy.
...
What’s Next?
Heading back to see family this week for Christmas and New Years. If I don’t get to any blog posts while I’m there, I’ll see you back here in a few weeks!
