In this blog post, I’ll share my top 5 picks for the best coffee shops for remote workers in the Denver area, with a special honorable mention thrown in for good measure.

My criteria for great coffee shops include:

1. Seats and outlets (most importantly)
2. Wifi speeds (you can get by in most places nowadays)
3. Atmosphere and vibes
4. Coffee quality (I’m not as picky here)

Honorable Mention – Frank & Roze Coffee Co.

Frank & Roze is on the east side of Denver near Colorado blvd.

• Address: 4097 E 9th Ave, Denver, CO 80220

Frank & Roze has great vibes and great wifi. It’s also got plenty of seats and I love the commercial area around it. It’s definitely worth the stop.

#5 – Corvus Coffee Roasters

Corvus Coffee Roasters is in Arvada, CO.

• Address: 9528 W 58th Ave, Arvada, CO 80002

Corvus Coffee has fantastic aesthetics and a very artsy nitro cold brew.

In terms of downsides, the wifi can be a bit finicky to connect sometimes, it’s definitely pricier (read as: artsy, hip, or high-end 🙂 ) than other coffee shops, and early in the morning the sun can shine pretty bright if you’re sitting in those high seats, but it’s still worth checking out.

#4 – Pinwheel Coffee

Pinwheel Coffee is in the Highlands.

• Address: 3659 Navajo St, Denver, CO 80211

Pinwheel Coffee has an INCREDIBLE chai aroma that draws you in. With amazing wifi speeds, it’s a great spot to work from.

The only downside is the limited seating options, but there is good bar seating towards the window with outlets.

#3 – Brew Culture Coffee

Brew Culture Coffee is on West Colfax.

• Address: 3620 W Colfax Ave, Denver, CO 80204

Brew Culture Coffee in West Colfax is definitely the most underrated coffee shop on this list. With great seating and outlets, good aesthetics, fast wifi speeds, and a popularity that doesn’t make it too crowded, it’s a great place to work from.

The main downside is the limited parking options, as it’s located right on the busy street of Colfax and right next to some residential homes.

#2 – Tie: Queen City/Wash Perk

Number 2 is a tie between Queen City Collective Coffee and Wash Perk. I’ll explain why it’s a tie in just a second! Both are in the area just south of Denver (Baker and Wash Park).

Queen City

• Address: 305 W 1st Ave, Denver, CO 80223

Wash Perk

• Address: 853 E Ohio Ave, Denver, CO 80209

Both Queen City Collective Coffee and Wash Perk have an equally great “local neighborhood vibe” that I love. They sit right on the corner of intersections deep in residential neighborhoods.

Queen City has a more industrial feel and is connected to a brewery.

While Wash Perk is a quirky residence converted into a coffee shop.

Both have a decent number of seats and places to work, but they do fill up quickly, particularly Queen City. The only downside is that Queen City doesn’t have wifi on weekends and the outlets are just okay. They don’t have as many to accommodate a packed house of remote workers.

#1 – Improper City

Improper City is in RiNo.

• Address: 3201 Walnut St, Denver, CO 80205

Improper City is the best coffee shop for remote workers in Denver!

It’s a coffee shop and coworking space during the day and transforms into a bar at night.

With tons of seats and outlets, a strong cold brew, and an awesome coworking vibe, it’s the perfect place to work from.

Also! Check out Movement bouldering/rock climbing gym right next door to for a nice morning or afternoon break from work!

The main downsides are that the wifi is only “okay”, it doesn’t open until 8am (downside for me, possibly not a downside for someone with a 9am start time), and it can get quite packed with remote workers so get there early!
