Where In The World Was I?

  • Bali, Indonesia

Metrics From The Week

Gonna start documenting my steps here (if I remember) because I’m trying to walk more and getting steps in here in Bali is super hard. Those two biggest circles in September are 10k and 11k steps 😅

Snaps From The Week

Sunsets and beach walks

Everyone stood waiting and watching the sun setting like it’s a show haha

I call this “shiny pokemon” mode

Biz

After my workshop had a followup call with someone that came, who happened to be my villa roommate. He wanted to hire me and signed up.

So I’ve now officially signed on both of my two villa roommates to my coaching program 😂

And after Tribal Solutions this week, got to chatting with someone who came and she wanted to learn more about my program. Kind of ended up in a little mini sales conversation, was asking her about her business, some beliefs that were holding her back, she asked more about it and the price. Sent her the doc and still waiting to hear back. It’ll be crazy if I sign her on as well.

Going Deep

Had a session this week with someone, exploring fears and resistance, kept going deeper and deeper, and found a pretty deeply rooted fear that keeps coming up for them.

I had an idea for what they needed and so had them close their eyes and visualize, asked some IFS-guided questions and visualization.

And bro I had this feeling… You know when you just know what you’re walking into… you know what’s about to happen, and it’s a little unsettling, you’re a little unsure. My own stomach and throat were tightening a bit. Because I’ve done this for myself before and I remember what happened, like every time…

We get to the last part, visualizing, and I could see tears starting to form… then rolling down the cheeks.

I’ve had people cry on coaching calls before, I’ve held space for people and had people cry before, but it’s been a little while.

Tears were flowing down their cheeks, but they were still together.

My throat was burrrrrrning but I managed to hold it together.

They asked me how and where I learned how to hold space for people like that, to which I didn’t answer immediately but would tell them later. It’s been a lot of my own inner work journey…

It’s pretty freakin’ cool going really deep and holding space for people. There’s always this panic sensation that sets in as it starts, but every time this happens I get better and better.

Expansion

So for the last couple weeks I’ve been operating at about my capacity for clients. I was telling a friend that I basically have 7 people’s lives, businesses, fears, beliefs, and childhood memories all stored in my brain. I use a shit ton of notes and things as well, but I’m at that point where I’m like “holy shit” and barely holding on.

SO

I’ve been working with my business coach on where to go from here. And it’s been this really fun and interesting (and beautiful) problem to solve… how to serve more people without burning myself out.

And so we’ve been ideating on this middle tier offer that I can bring people into and then anyone that wants to escalate to 1-1 has that option. I’ve actually been super excited for this new offer so stay tuned.

But then Saturday brunch, I was in this great group and one of the other guys does life coaching for entrepreneurs, been doing it for like 16 years or something, and he was super curious about my business because I kind of mentioned parts of it and where I’m struggling and stuff through our shares.

I was telling him about the last 3mo, how I’ve been getting clients, my offer, the workshops, and he was like “damn your numbers are really good, how long have you been doing this??”

Told him, about a year and 2 months technically, but it’s been just 3mo of this most recent direction… and was thinking about doing it for like 2 years.

He said he spent 10 years thinking about getting into coaching…

And he was telling me about his offer setup and 1-1s, and suggesting how I could set mine up as well. He’s got about 20 1-1 clients, spend about 12 hours per week on calls, each paying $2k-$3k/mo, making somewhere between $50k and $60k/mo recurring…”

Didn’t try to sell me anything, just pure encouragement and ideas. I went to Butter Protein after and was reflecting on this interaction and where I’m at right now.

...

Also feeling my mind expand right now, [name] pouring into me a bit there, showing me what's possible. Bro this could absolutely explode... That's fucking crazy. And I'm feeling a little bit of nervousness but also some of this excitement and expansion feeling. Having a third party validate my path, seeing this idea of mid tier funnel offer. Like bro wtf I could make it to like $10k/mo VERY quickly...

This pull into something bigger... Makes me want to fucking lock in even more, build out this content library, push out this offer, serve more people. I feel the same energy as [name] pouring into me... I went to pee and I was like bro what if I build this to like Tony Robbins level shit... WTF that's crazy

That kind of captures the essence here…

It’s like every time I zoom out and look at my situation and what’s happened over the last 3mo I’m like holy shit… and then I think, so… if that has happened over the last 3mo… what’s gonna happen over the next 3 months… next year…?

And theeeeeeeen the images and thoughts start to pop into my brain… serving more people, higher ticket clients, bigger stages, podcasts, workshops, traveling, the social media following…

It’s this “yo this might actually go crazy over the next year or two…” not to mention the next 10 years of doing this like… 😂

And so it’s this interesting mix of feelings on the other side of this… There’s this very clear desire to work more, focus, build, a bit of this urgency. There’s also this expansion feeling, this idea of serving more people, being pulled into something bigger. There’s also this feeling of that “you don’t know what you don’t know” and kind of walking into the dark/fog and just thinking I’m probably gonna look back on this moment and think “you had no idea what’s about to happen.”

And all of that is very very exciting…

Last point on this, related. I’ve been so much more ruthless with my time in the last like 2 months. I’ve never worked this much in my life. And I’m still alive so far. I think there’s probably a background stress accumulating that I’m keeping an eye on. But it’s like, I thought a couple years ago I was working a lot… bruhhhhhhhhther you have no idea.

And so some people have reached out to “grab a coffee” and I’ve literally been like “hmmm, do they want something? is this just connecting? what’s in this for me?” and some people I’ve kinda just said no to, or like “I’ll be here on this day, we can chat then”

Back On YouTube

Posted for the first time in like a month or so. Telling the beach walk approach miss story and everything I’m learning about rewiring beliefs.

Procrastination Workshop

My client (and friend; friend and client) said they were going to this procrastination workshop and that I should come.

My reaction was like, “ah I don’t really feel like I procrastinate that much, I kinda help people with that exact same thing… wait-…” 😂💡

So I went!

It was uh… okay.

And I was talking with my friend after who thought the same thing haha, so I’m glad we saw the same thing.

I got some ideas for some gaps I can fill in for my own structures/world. And then had a super good brainstorm session with my friend after about other ideas for my own program.

So all in all a win!

A Pattern Emerging

Jumped on a call with a guy from an online community I’m apart of. It was quite interesting because he reminded me a lot of some other guys I’ve talked to, had calls with, clients.

This pattern of not having emotional intelligence, not knowing how to feel excitement or emotions, and this sprint-crash cycle. I keep hearing about these things, quite a lot more in men in particular.

Bro on the emotional intelligence topic, he kinda made this side comment about a past relationship, he said something like “…her issue with me was she told me ‘you’re not emotionally available,’ and I was like ‘what are you talking about I’m not emotionally available? I buy you everything you want, you have everything under the sun, what more do you want?'”

And brother that line hit me like a truck I didn’t even know what to say.

It was that moment where it clicked just how crazy disconnected some guys are.

I literally don’t even know how to describe this feeling right now. It’s like speaking a different language with someone.

Look I’m not gonna claim I’m a relationship expert, I don’t really want to enter that territory tbh…

But if you think buying her things is how you show you’re emotionally available… uh… MAY THE LORD HELP YOU.

Idk maybe this will age poorly and I’ll be wrong but I’m pretty sure that’s not how that works.

And what’s my credibility here? Idk, I’ve held space for people crying about really deep shit, many girls I’ve gone on dates with say I listen really well, people have told me they feel my presence.

So anyways… I’ve got my work cut out for me here, we’ve got some work and teaching to do for a lot of men out there 😂

The “Philosopher” Walk

Morning journaling…

202610050725 Morning content block
#content #journal

...

Was going through [[202610041102 Reviewing Q3 and planning for Q4]] just while waiting for my food, didn't get all of it done. But the biggest realization and thing that came to my mind, fairly quickly too, was that note about if Q3 went perfectly what would it be and feel like

> it's this feeling of being on the back foot, relaxed, calm, I spend most of my time thinking, long walks, podcasts, writing, in silence, then come out and share my learnings in yt video, reels, etc. more calculated and intentional

And I've been thinking about that this morning. I sort of have this image picture of like log-cabin, fully off, just writing, ideating, going on long walks, not looking at my phone for like half the day. And while I do most mornings not look at my phone, I still do look at notifications at the very least around like 10am, 11am. I've not been going on long walks to _think,_ and when I write and ideate I find myself using AI.

Just had an idea hit me...

Context, about writing, ideating, using AI. What I'm finding is that when I write and ideate in the morning, doing morning content block, trying to explore ideas, extract ideas into reel ideas... and when I use AI, what it usually does it widen, or expand my mind to _more_ ideas, which scatters me, and makes it harder to actually complete the loop.

BUT, all of my best frameworks and ideas have _actually_ come from AI, the combination of my ideas, lived experiences, and AI giving ideas...

So how to get both?

What if... I didn't use AI when I write and ideate in the morning. But we DID ideate in the afternoon/evening on ideas _with_ AI. That's when we widen, scatter, because I'm over my hump of morning targeted focus anyways. I'm kind of treating using AI to research/ideate the same as reading and learning.

And what's scary about that?

I've got to actually use my brain to come up with ideas... and not get help... oof.

BUT... My ramble on Saturday morning about being "onto something" about rewiring beliefs, Brain Predictions, Belief Ladder, got some decent views, and [name] this new guy that followed me and reached out said he's interested in it. [name] also said it was interesting to follow and "make a YouTube video on this."

I haven't made a YouTube video in some weeks.

And as part of this "log-cabin life" image, making YouTube videos is part of it.

Man I really feel like this would _feel_ so good... Let me lean into it and get the feeling underneath and what it is I really want.

Wake up, calm, peaceful morning. Go for a walk, a forest scene, maybe like 10-15 minutes, get some sunlight. Come back, make an espresso with a nice machine, silence, phone is in the other room.

Make my espresso, then sit down at my desk. Maybe laptop, but probably more likely just an empty desk with a journal/pages and a pen on it.

Then I just write, dump my thoughts, explore, expand, process things. I write for however long I need to. I pull the thread a bit. Maybe at least like 30 minutes, 45 minutes.

Then I start to formulate some ideas. I think about what people need, my clients needs, I think about life, behaviors, self-awareness, beliefs. And then bang, this idea hits me, I start expanding on it. Or, I look at the ideas I wrote down from the previous day's ideation and walks. And I expand on it.

That gets turned into a newsletter or something.

Maybe I then go over and record a YouTube video on this. I don't need AI's help. I still haven't looked at my phone. All rawdogged.

We make a YouTube video, it's raw, but engaging and interesting, it's explorative, I'm sharing what I'm seeing, I'm sharing what I'm learning, I'm being raw, authentic, vulnerable.

Maybe I make a reel or two.

Then idk, maybe some gap, I eat, or read, or something, calls, idk.

But then like mid afternoon or evening, I take a long walk, headphones podcast in, or maybe just nothing. And I walk for like an hour, maybe two, or maybe it's my second long walk for the day, maybe I went after lunch, and this is now my evening sunset walk. On my walk I'm just thinking, ideating, writing down ideas.

It's almost this feeling of being a _philosopher,_ a thinker, an ideator. Like some of the great writers and thinkers of our history. That's almost the feeling here.

There's this trust in my own brain on the ideas that I have and expand on. There's a level of sustained clarity and focus. Maybe I use some AI to generate new ideas, expand my mind, but when I write I feel like it's just me and the page.

It feels so much more real, so human, authentic. I feel _slow_ but I feel _intentional._ I feel like every YouTube video that I make, like _has_ something to say. It's this feeling of "_oh shit_ Peter just dropped a new video I need to watch this..." Every piece of content has some insight, some nugget. Not that transforms the viewer/reader's mind, but that makes some small shift. It's not nothing. It's not revolutionary. Maybe some content is revolutionary.

But life just feels so intentional. That slow morning, no phone, making coffee, silence, listening to the birds outside chirping, writing and ideating.

Got another idea, I'm gonna use that prompt to have AI help me continue to explore this one more level. I like this thread.
- [[202604260917 Journaling AI Prompts]]

**1. Keep the scene going past the moment the idea arrives.**
> You're at the empty desk. The espresso's half gone, the phone is in the other room, and you've been writing for 40 minutes. Then the idea lands, and you know it came from you. Write the next ten minutes as if they're happening now. What's the idea? What do your hands do? What does the "philosopher" feeling actually feel like in your body?

Okay I'm writing I'm writing... then _boom_ idea hits me. Fuck. Something connects. It's some story, some connection of ideas, some new framework or structure, or realization. I start writing as if to capture and document _this idea,_ writing as if someone else is going to read it. There's a start and a finish to the idea. I'm probably just writing on a new page, something I can later transfer to my Obsidian notes vault. Or maybe I'm writing it in a new note on my laptop.

The feeling is this buzz, this lightness. It's what I felt during the somatic experiencing (related [[202608161920 The Week Of The Somatic Experiencing Therapy - Life Update August 16th, 2026]]), that curiosity I felt doing the room scan, feeling that lightness in my head, that excitement, that little bit of novelty and energy, maybe a bit of expansion feeling.

**2. Go back to Saturday morning.**
> You already had a version of this. The ramble where you felt "onto something" about Brain Predictions and the Belief Ladder was raw, came from your own head, and landed with people. Go back into that morning. Where were you, what were you feeling, and what was the moment you sensed you were onto something? Describe it, without judging how good the idea was.

Okay, literally this note and conversation:
- [[202610030717 Morning journal - Border Coffee]]
- [[agent__20261003_081854_Any_input_or_response_or_ideas_from_you_here_while]]

I was journaling in the morning, processing what happened, how I felt, why. Then I came back, and was thinking _through_ my own structure of Brain Predictions. This was an AI conversation, dumped my note into AI, asked broadly for "any ideas or responses" and that started the thread. Gave me the idea of going deeper, actually turning it into a Proof Log, Belief Ladder setup, creating Brain Predictions. I was reading AI response and thinking holy shit this is literally my own thoughts, and these lived experiences literally _counter_ my own brain predictions. And then I started thinking about how this would change how I feel _in the moment_ the next time this happens, actual behavior change that updates the resistance and friction I keep feeling because I'm struggling to follow through.

Then I went to my bed to make a phone video, I knew I'd share it on Instagram stories, just kind of a ramble dump. But then somewhere _between_ two videos or something, the idea hit me about using my OWN visualization, [[202609170731 The Prediction Break|The Prediction Break]] which is literally _designed_ to break your beliefs using predictions, and the pre-requisite, the hardest part, is having the success evidence in order to do the memory juxtaposition. And this was the hardest hitting "hollyyyyyy shit" I was literally talking out loud, like almost bouncing around my room, immediately got up to type it out in the journal note to capture it. Mood and state instantly changed.

**3. Stay with the "oof."**
> Without stopping or editing, finish this sentence five or six times: _"When it's just me and the page, what I'm afraid I'll find is…"_ Then write whatever comes after the last one.

- When it's just me and the page, what I'm afraid I'll find is... I have no ideas, I get writers block and I just stare at an empty page.

- When it's just me and the page, what I'm afraid I'll find is... My ideas won't be good enough. They aren't novel enough. I'll share them and the reel/video will get just a "handful" of views, 100-200 reel views, like 20 yt views.

- When it's just me and the page, what I'm afraid I'll find is... Yeah, something like I won't have any ideas, I won't have any _good_ ideas, and so I won't have anything to post or share. And then maybe I'll feel like I didn't produce anything that day, or what I produced wasn't good enough to "do well" and then maybe I'll be forced to accept a "wasted" day, a day where nothing was "produced" or created, or I never had that "spark" feeling of coming up with something new or insightful.
	- And as I'm writing this I'm kind of recognizing this feeling... the same as the constant working and hesitation to take a break... Which again, I keep hearing people say/ask about this, how often I take breaks... and idk I don't think it's really that bad, that I never take breaks, like an Alex Hormozi type. Yesterday, Sunday, I "worked" for 2 hours: weekly review, life update, sent some messages, then went to butter protein, and spent like the entire day at Nirvana, stairmaster, massage, sauna, chatting with people in the sauna, went to openhouse, 1.5 hour beach walk, talked to my family. Like what is this "you never take a break..." Hmmm. So idk.
	- But there _also_ is some truth to this. I don't often _not_ spend my morning on my laptop journaling, ideating, working, making content, etc. The days when I don't? Saturday mornings the last couple weeks when [...] and maybe I come back or I go to a coffee shop, journal, then go to Self+ saturday brunch. So it's like again... It's not that I'm never not working.
	- But besides this... yeah most days I'm on my laptop in the morning.
	- So I think my point is, I have my own feeling of inertia and not wanting to stop, there's always this constant endless pile of things I can/could do... make videos, update pinned post, make youtube videos. It's kind of this treadmill that resets every week. And when I take a break, I'm not chipping away at the pile. So I have to either not take a break and continue chipping away, or accept some loss either intentionally (like driving to Ubud or something, taking a trip) or just accept enough for the day, go to Nirvana like yesterday.

- When it's just me and the page, what I'm afraid I'll find is... I won't be able to actually formulate an idea. That feeling 1? 2? weeks ago, when I spent the morning doing a content block, explored something, and then spent this long time trying to extract the idea into some insight and just couldn't get it. I had AI'd and I think that expanded my mind too much. That was the morning where I looked back at Dan Bolton's [[202507161148 The four content reframes]] and was like bruh I'm trying to make this perfect and good... and just went to my bed and one-take'd the video, zero edits, and posted it. Did it do well? I mean not crazy. But I at least posted _something_ after struggling for so long. I think I spent 2 hours that morning on my content block. I don't like this feeling, putting more steps between the idea and the actual creation.
	- But maybe, in analyzing this, I'm _trying_ too hard. The insight about I'm trying to make it good enough and perfect is true. Maybe if I allowed myself to _actually_ use my brain, it could figure it out.
	- Just had a thought... this idea that my content isn't good enough, my ideas aren't good enough... but two things hit me:
		- [name]'s feedback, that my workshop was "_actually really good_" and since the workshop he's implemented a bunch of stuff, saw him at Openhouse and he's like I went to analog and saw this girl sitting alone and felt that fear/prediction and so I went over and ended up having this 2 hr conversation. Crazy the results he's already getting and he's like "I'm bound to be your student," we have a followup call today.
		- And [name]'s comment on my brain prediction ramble, that it's interesting and to make a youtube video.
		- And not to mention [name]'s entire 8 week transformation. And [name] the past two weeks. And [name]'s transformation making content. And [name]'s feedback and appreciation for me. And [name]'s comment that while there isn't much external results, it's changing how he thinks... Like bruh.

Two days later it was mid morning and I was looking for a bit of a break. So I decided to head down to the beach for a walk.

As I walked I said a light “good morning” to a couple people, as I do, but then I had an idea.

I started saying “good morning” to like, everyone… even the people that weren’t even looking at me.

And then I started counting them.

I walked down the beach and I’d say “good morning” and then get super excited literally regardless of whether they looked or not. Within about 10 minutes my mood was completely changed, I felt so happy and positive, I had this big grin on my face the whole time.

And as this happened I was voice noting ideas down.

202610070932 Philosopher walk
#journal

- I started saying hi and good morning to every person doesn't matter if they look at me or not and now counting the realms of saying good morning and some people are smiling and saying good morning back and regardless of what they say or what happens. This is so much fun and it's changing my states. I feel so happy now. I'm at 10 so far.
- Something about being too attached to the outcome
	- I think by saying hi and good morning to people and not putting the expectation on saying you're really beautiful. What's your name? Just having more fun. And
- I think there's something also here similarly around not trusting in the process of time that it's the same learning. I was journaling about this morning about the Miss Monday night at Sunset
	- our brain wants immediate wins and reps, but part of what rewires your belief system is graded exposure, And so it's easy to say. Oh yeah, just focus on notice refs and stay reps. But then when you get to the actual situation, your brain puts all this pressure on yourself to actually jump straight to the move rep
	- But if you look at your behavior on a longer time scale and you just focus on notice and stay rest saying hi and giving compliments. Like trust that if you do that long enough to jump to saying something like your beautiful, he's going to be so much easier
- yeah we just had a compliment his guy's dog I said his I like his dog that was rep number 17
- I think there's something around state change here as well. It's what Tony Robbins uses quite a lot apparently And I think I heard ad Matthew or Matty talking about state as well
	- I think that it gets you out of your thoughts and overthinking
	- cuz what I'm finding is that when I say good morning to someone and they don't even look back it's like I just don't even feel any reaction anymore cuz I'm in this like positive smiley state
	- and then when people actually do look and say good morning back or I see their smile. Like that also gives me a little bit of a boost
- yeah I think this motivates me to look more into the literature behind State change and what Tony Robbins does and how to use States and also how to coach using state
- Bro, it's actually pretty funny. It's actually hilarious. I see someone they walk up or like we walk by each other. They like literally are on their phone. This just happened rep number 21. She's like literally on her phone. Not even looking at me I say good morning. Literally zero reaction and my immediate next thing that I do is I smile and I'm like that SpongeBob meme "twenty oneeeeeeeeee!" Hahahahahaha
- okay we're turning around. We made it to Finn's Beach Club. Im at 25
- I'm thinking about an idea sharing something about the imperfect pass. I think it's actually kind of goated
- okay here's another idea. I think there's something around. Like positive people are contagious, positive mindset, energy people are contagious. I think this is what I was talking about a little bit with the state change of Matthew at Self Plus Saturday. Anyone who's introducing himself and just like carrying himself. It's like he's so positive
- yeah I really think there's something about the desire for the outcome and your brain jumps to wanting the results so quickly. Like I'm at 42 reps now saying good morning or high and I just saw this girl that I missed cuz I was saying good morning to someone else and I was like shoot she's kind of cute too. And then I heard like oh I should go up. But then I was like you know what. No. I'm just going to stick to my good morning and just like continue getting reps of that in and not like pressure myself. You know like let me run this beach walk saying hi to people another like three times and then let's start getting to that point. You know stop thinking about the outcome and putting pressure on yourself
- okay I just finished my walk. We hit 53
- LETS GOOOOOOO

This walk was SO MUCH FUN. I had a blast and it changed a lot of my perspectives and gave me so many ideas.

And then I went to Openhouse and saw this beautiful girl two tables down. Checked a couple times, my brain started denying that I liked her so I didn’t have to feel the pressure 😂

Found out my brain prediction, felt into the fear, listened to my own guided audio friction reset, then got up and walked over to her table.

BRO it was so awkward at first, I think she had music on and was fishing around to stop it, but it felt like she was just fully ignoring me while I was standing there. Absolute worst case scenario. But then chatted a little bit and then headed back to my table.

Felt a little rejection but also so proud for doing that and moving through the feeling of fear. The outcome literally didn’t matter it was all about getting to walking up.

And I think my walk definitely helped.
