To Candidasa 🛵

It was a bit last minute, but I ended up asking to join the Bali Intensive (in Dan Bolton’s community) this past weekend and fortunately there was a spot available!

I had been hesitant because I didn’t really feel like I belonged in the group, having not made nearly the money Dan targets in his content (10k-50k/mo). And I figured it’s all the way on the other side of the island.

But I thought people are traveling maybe 20+ hours to be here, so what is this excuse really? I’m literally already in Bali.

So anyways, drove out to Candidasa in east Bali (~2 hours)!

Stayed in this little Seaside Cottages place.

And met up with some of the crew for dinner the first night.

Day 1

Morning at Alila resort: Breakfast and morning session.

Then moved to The Seed (the main location for the event): lunch, breathwork session, afternoon chill, dinner.

Day 1 Highlights and Moments:

  • My first-ever breath work session. The framing session talking about fear. Crying, feeling love, yelling into the pillow, moving my body.
  • The chat with another guy there about energy, the universe, masculine and feminine energy.
  • The crew chat this morning where we each went around sharing any insights from the 18-Questions exercise and one of the guys pointing to me and going “so do you want to go first?” 😳 But sharing my truth, vulnerability, being open, and looking up and having them listen.
  • Then the quick little chat with another guy after the crew chat about breath work and him sharing his read on what I shared.
  • The Seed is indescribably beautiful. One of those unique places in the world where it looks just as good as it does on Instagram.
  • The gym at the Seed, lifting (literally) rocks and wooden dumbbells.

Day 2

Day 2 Highlights and Moments:

  • The incredibly relaxing sound healing session (my first-ever sound healing session)
  • Sharing my deep rooted challenge with the crew and this time actually getting advice and ideas on how to resolve it
  • Self-worth, proof, and trust

Day 3

Day 3 Highlights and Moments:

  • Talk from William Brown on his business, model, and strategy
  • Second breath work session – the stories we’re holding on to.
  • Deep chat with Jordan further into energy, the universe, esoteric ideas
  • The Apex Predator workout and winning the pull up challenge in the group (did 11 reps three times)

Day 4

Day 4 Highlights and Moments:

  • Chill day/morning, nothing planned (it was an extra day)
  • Just seeing Dan be himself.
  • Blasting Fred Again for the like 3rd time this weekend and vibing to it

I left around 2pm back to Canggu, but made a stop in Denpasar to meet a family friend!

I went to openhouse for dinner and per usual it was packed. I was waiting in line when this guy offered the other seat at his table to me.

We ended up chatting the whole time while we both ate. It was one of those 🙂 moments of life.

Thoughts From The Week

I took away a TON from this event. I went in kind of thinking I didn’t belong here and that I’d just kind of fly under the radar, but by the end I felt like I was exactly where I needed to be.

I’ve got a lot I want to reflect on, process, and integrate, but I’ll throw some ideas, takeaways, and learnings here to start that.

  • The combination between
    • Dan’s conviction that we can all “get paid to exist” and “serve what we’d do for free”
    • Him making $125k/mo
    • Seeing him OUTSIDE of YouTube videos and speaking, just being himself, being a goof, dancing, laughing, messing around, playing with his kids
  • It was crazy to be in my crew chat, sharing my struggle with this transition, then hearing basically most of the group also explain their situation and how they’re in some kind of transition between things. Seeing people making $50k/mo, $250k/mo, $300k/mo also struggle with this alignment problem.
  • Seeing how everyone thinks and acts differently making this amount of money
  • The biggest shift and journey: doing THEN understanding, lead with the body then mind instead of leading with the mind and trying to understand fully before doing (totally resonate with that)
  • Hearing William Brown sell $5k/mo, $10k/mo, and $15k/mo packages expecting it to be to really advanced people and finding out it’s to ~60% complete beginners and him making $600k-$700k/mo.
  • Flipping this idea from
    • That you need to convince people, say the right thing, think about how to help or fix people
    • To this idea of putting out a certain authentic energy and pulling people in who resonate with it, filtering and qualifying people MORE, pricing to disqualify people
  • Repair is more important than rupture. Messing up and fixing it is more valuable than not messing up.
  • Surrendering to life, listening to flow and the pulls of life
  • Everything is a mirror, and perception is projection
  • Figuring out the thing(s) that I have that people go “fuck he has what I want and I’ll pay just to be near Peter”
  • Looking at “what’s the safest next step you could take”
  • A lot of beautiful things happen when you think about how you’d act if you deleted fear from your life
  • Breaking the 4 beliefs that hold people back from good content

Ideas for next steps

  • Reflect on notes, just take 1-2 top resonating takeaways, don’t answer everything
  • Change something about routine: more creative space, reflecting, walks, places for sparks. Documenting more sparks in obsidian.
  • Identifying, feeling, and integrating fear more.
  • Filtering less, starting to build more evidence where I don’t filter myself.

What’s Next?

Reflecting and integrating all of this.
