Metrics From The Week

Watched a bit of YouTube on the plane haha 😅
Back To Colorado
This is where I woke up Sunday morning. It was the first nature camping I think I’ve done this whole chapter in the U.S.? It had been a while, and it reminded me of just how incredible living in a van is.
I heated up some coffee, drank it outside, got some clips with my osmo and drone for a little Instagram story… THIS is what van life is all about man. Just so beautiful.

Then made my way back to Denver… (about 6 hours)

Final Days In the U.S.
The next 2.5 ish days was all focused on on getting the final things wrapped up before shooting off.
But first, coffee 🙂
Went back to Sweet Bloom in Westminster, one of my favorite spots.

No, I didn’t buy that shirt haha
The final night, I got to about 7pm and realized I had done everything else except clean my van… so instead of push it off I just decided to grit the teeth and get it all done that night… Stayed up until just after 1am, totally exhausted, but was all packed and cleaned up.
The RV storage place went smoothly! Sweaty… and a bit of blood was shed… but overall smooth!

Those of you who’ve been following for some time will know that I have a checklist for packing my backpacks and for prepping my van for storage.
What you might not know, but will be one of the most “Peter” things you’ve heard, is that I also track how long it takes to do each of these things.
I took photos last time I packed the van for long term storage in Albuquerque and it took me exactly 1 hr 45 min from pulling in to walking out with my bags. So this time I gave myself about 1 hour 30 minutes before my Uber that I scheduled and thought that’d be enough time.
Can’t be that hard right!?
I was a little later entering than I wanted (16 minutes; because I partly filled up my tires at a gas station), but everything was pretty smooth, just a bit chaotic and sweaty running around the van, getting stuff out, putting things away, filling the tires one last time, putting on the tire covers, accidentally cutting my hands with the steel wool to put in the exhaust because I didn’t think to cut it with scissors… etc.
But all in all, I got everything done, and made it to the front of the storage place literally 2 minutes before the Uber arrived exactly on time 😂☺️
Start to finish it took me 1 hr 32 minutes 🙂
Got to the airport with so much time that they actually refused to let me in to the Capital One lounge because it was more than 3 hours before my flight. Waited the extra 20 minutes, then just had a nice chill time in there before flying to Minneapolis first.
Then to Amsterdam.
Then to Malaga.

Landed in Malaga, got a rental car, and drove it up to Granada, Spain (about 1 hour 30 minutes).

I was exhaaaaausted, but very glad to make it. Slept a bit on the overnight flight but wasn’t the best. 28 hours of travel (plus the ~3 before getting to Denver airport if you want to count those).
A little behind the scenes note… I’ll tell you this but won’t tell my Instagram stories this 😂: for the rental car, I was very pleasantly surprised that it was a nice brand new Audi Q1. I literally picked the cheapest car bigger than the mini-cooper (that I knew I wouldn’t fit in lol). I would love to make it seem that I’m ballin’ out over here but it’s just what they gave me BUT I’LL TAKE IT YESSIR 😂 From the inside all you need to see is that logo 😂 It was a little surprising how many more people liked the Instagram story from the inside driving compared to others…
Valuing Peace More
Something I’m starting to realize is that I’m valuing peace more in my life a bit more… And willing to trade money for it.
An example is this travel day. I’ve stopped buying flights with connections that are under about 1.5 hours, because multiple times in my life I’ve had connections that were like 1 hour, 1.25 hours, and the flight is a little delayed, and you’re standing at the back of the plane looking at this mass of people who also needs to get off the plane, looking at your phone, sweating, doing the calculations “okay so they board in 2 minutes, it’s a 10 minute run across the airport to gate F9… and if I miss this… I’m screwed”… The amount of stress is just unbearable…
So I built buffer time into literally everything.
Scheduled my Uber so that if they didn’t show up I could still handle booking another one and make it with time.
Get to the airport over 3 hours so I can spend 2 hours in the lounge.
All my flights had 2 to 2.5 hours layovers. AND would you look at that, the overnight flight was delayed a bit, but I still had about 1.5 hours to get through immigration, find the gate, all before boarding. I’m like “ahhh I love this feeling.”
I’ve always to some extent been like this. I was doing this 5 years ago at least:

But it was just one of those bigger realizations that I think coincided with getting to the age (oh god am I really saying that now??) where I’m valuing peace and exchanging saving a big of money to have some more peace and less stress.
Granada House
I’m back in Granada staying at the member’s club house I stayed at about 1.5 years ago! (The Week I Stayed At A Member’s Club House In Granada, August 25th, 2024)
Can’t tell ya how nice it is to have a coffee machine and make an espresso first thing in the morning 🙂
And it’s been a lot of fun, there’s been between 4 total and 6 total guys here.

Woke up that first morning and went back on the walk on the path that I walked every day back when I stayed here last. It’s so much more green! I’m surprised!

Birthday Dinner
Went out with some of the guys to this great restaurant with an incredible view for my birthday.

I haven’t had time to put together a gallery of my year 27-28 in photos, but it sure has been a wild one… One year ago I was in Vietnam, before leaving for Bali, still working on my SaaS VideoHawk.co, still believing that I would get to coaching in maybe 5 years “once I’m successful with VideoHawk.co,” still struggling to say hi to strangers…
A lot has changed… and that might be an understatement. A lot has changed this year.
Thoughts From The Week
202604250817 Morning journaling in Onem Granada
#journal
April 25th, 2026 | Granada, Spain
Good morning, we've got my morning walk done, espresso made, sitting out on the balcony here again, listening to the chorus of birds chirping, doing some journaling to start the day. I figured I'll try some written journaling today.
Bunch of stuff on my mind today - call with [name], learnings/thoughts from speaking to [name], business, life, life here in Granada, women and dating... Let's see if we can at least get through some.
...
Okay thb I've got too many ideas and my hand writes too slowly I'm gonna jump to my laptop here now.

## Creativity and YouTube Video Titles
- first off is youtube video titles, he shared two with me yesterday one was something something [title] the idea that you statistically don't exist, this lifestyle, the whole "6 foot tall, 6in dick, 6 figures," is like less than 0.1% of guys;
- but I'm like, that's a really good idea, and you KNOW nobody's created it before... so I'm like, I think I want to get more creative with my video titles.
- The other one was something like the [title] something. The idea that when you're in the early stages, at a level 1, you ALSO have only "level 1" problems... like "oh no my cell phone bill went over date I've got to pay an extra $20 charge"... versus when you level up and you're at a level 7 or level 8, the _problems_ also get a lot harder and more challenging... like "oh no the business isn't making as much revenue this month how am I gonna pay the salaries for my employees..."
- It made me think about the podcast I just listened to a couple days ago driving SLC to Denver, from Dan Koe. Wait lemme find it. [[202604190912 Takeaways from podcast Dan Koe and JK Molina - meaning, AI, routine, creativity]]. Dan Koe talked about his routine, and routines of successful highly creative people, and only working 2-4 hours a day max, but "working" all day, taking multiple hour long walks, consuming a lot, having space, free time, space to synthesize ideas. So that when he does sit down at a coffee shop to write for 2 hours, he's pulling ideas from his bank of really _high quality_ ideas.
- And I liked that model and resonated with it. Am I able to fully embody that? Like do I have that type of business? I'm not sure... But I'm definitely in the creative-work business, where ideas and _quality_ of ideas are important.
- So it just made me think, I feel like I've gotta stop making kind of generic videos and titles, though I don't think they're exactly "generic." But just that there's a big opportunity here to go down the [name] route of ideas... More along the lines of that reel I made "how to apply the playground effect" that actually did really well. It's like, synthesize two or multiple ideas together, name it with something completely different, so that you get that curiosity and info gap baked into the core of the idea.
- This also reminds me the one and only learnings I've written down from my [[202511300857 👨🔬 Content Lab - Hooks and Angles]] was "Use a name for some framework or thing that I made up - "Friction Zone" or "The Gap" or "The micro-gap""
...
## Perspective
I had brunch with [name] and [name] yesterday, and just appreciated the time with them, their perspectives. They're both 33, I'm now 28. It's just different than being around the younger guys, 21-24, not that they're bad, it's just different.
I shared a recent realization, about valuing peace more in my life, getting to an airport early, building in buffer time, not taking short layover connections, all so that I don't have to feel that anxious stressed feeling, and instead I can travel feeling more peace.
And it was crazy how much [name] and [name] related to that idea. [name] brought up not penny pinching as well. He brought up an example moment with [name], who was doing all this calculation to find the exact amount of gas to purchase so that they wouldn't waste money, and he's like bro I'll just pay the 20 gpb, it doesn't matter. That realization that he _used_ to do that too, but now he's like "I'll just pay it" mindset, not wanting the headache. And I'm starting to relate to that a lot more too.
## Birthday
It was just nice to spend time with people for my birthday and not be in transit, alone in some hostel or on a plane, where I know nobody. I just appreciated that, not needing a lot of a big party or anything.
I write that and I'm like... _does this mean I'm getting old???_ haha
